John's Journey
As a Bronx native John Gristina was surrounded by great NY pizza and at a young age he started working at his father's Pizzeria and learned the basics. He later moved on and expanded his pizza knowledge as he worked in various pizza restaurants. The next stop in his journey was opening up his own pizzerias and eventually becoming a member of the World Pizza Champions. With that prestigious honor, he worked and trained with some of the best Pizzaioli in the world. Eventually, he attended the Scuola Italiana Pizzaioli and became certified in various pizza making techniques.
Now he wants to bring all the skills and knowledge he gained over the years right into your home and share it with you to make your event unforgettable.

Born and raised in the Bronx I was surrounded by pizza, even in my home. My father owned a pizzeria, he was the one that imprinted an undying work ethic in me that has its own pros and cons. I started to work for him at the ripe old age of 12. This taught me the pride of earning your own money and …

One of my personal top 3 pizza restaurants I have ever been to. I have never had Detroit style pizza and it turns out, I'm a huge fan. I can't even begin to describe to you how fresh everything is. The cheese was so rich and the basil brought out so many savor flavors. That basil tasted like it was picked from a garden an hour ago. My wife and I had a few items off the menu and each slice had just the perfect balance of softness, crunch and savory flavors. The pepperoni rolls are also out of this world. I could eat here every day of the week. Chef John takes enormous pride in what he makes and it truly shows.

This place is great! For pizza, they have a variety of options, from really creative combinations to more classic toppings. They use high quality ingredients and have the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had. They also have salads, calzones and other items on their menu. I can’t recommend this place enough!
Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free crust and can make most of their pizzas with it. They’re very careful in preparing gluten free pizza.

To be honest, when I heard another pizza place was coming to Pelham, I didn’t think much of it. I’m so glad we tried it anyway because this place is fantastic!! We tried the grandma pie, angry drunk bird, the white pie, salad, and meatballs. Everything was perfect, the pies were excellent (angry drunk bird was our favorite by far), meatballs were juicy, even the salad was special. Can’t wait to try more of the menu.

I saw someone on Yelp mentioning that this place had great gluten free pizza so I had to try it. I am so glad I did! It is in my top 3 gluten free pizzas ever. The crust was delicious, perfectly balanced sauce, yummy cheese blend and I loved the fresh basil. It was so good, I barely had any left to take a picture of 😆. My husband says it is better than your "regular" dough, he tried the grandma slice ... wow. I'm so happy you opened and there is no doubt you love your craft. We will be back for sure. Thank you!!!!!!

We got 2 full meals out of 1 pizza. The grandma pizza was delicious! Yummy cheese, thick crust that was crispy on the edges. Throw an egg on top and you have the most delicious breakfast 🍳

This is the quintessential definition of a great neighborhood pizza joint. Great traditional slices and inventive new school slices.
The food smelled so good the to-go bag didn't make it into the car. I decided to enjoy it on the bench outside.
Also, they have 20oz RC cola bottles... the soda is just a tad lighter in syrup and carbonation compared to Coke and Pepsi. It pairs ridiculously well with this pizza.
They know what they're doing here.

John is personable and professional. I went in to get my Dad a cheese pizza and myself a white pizza. I thought Dad's was gonna be easy, but the well done crust on the white on display was a no go. I explained to John we get whole pies, eat 2 or 3 slices and freeze the rest for later in the month.
That's when he explained his pizza isn't cooked for "leftovers" reheated in the oven as we planned. He agreed to cook it less so we could eat it at our leisure. IT WORKED & WAS WONDERFUL!!
My Dad wasn't initially pleased for other reasons. I joked that the cheese pizza was too Italian for my Pops. John remade it without the fresh mozzarella and basil on top. IT WAS A HIT! BEST PIE!!
I'm glad I shared our needs and felt heard, seen and appreciated!! We'll be back.

This place may appear like a small ordinary pizza shop, but the flavors and unique choices that are being served here are far from ordinary.
I'm so happy that my husband and I came across this place because the chef and owner John knows what he's doing. The pizza sauce is so flavorful and all of the ingredients are so fresh!
I've never had Detroit style pizza before but I got to try it from here and it was delicious. If you've never been before, I'd highly suggest picking up a menu and looking through it because again, the pizzas are so unique.
Not to mention there are also dessert pizzas on there that I am very excited to try at some point because I will definitely be back.
Chef John is extremely sweet, and hospitable. You definitely won't regret coming here!

Admittedly, I wanted to try this place knowing it hadn't been reviewed on Yelp yet. I didn't expect it to blow me away like it did. And I'm not even really the biggest pizza person, but this type of pizza makes me understand why some people say pizza is their favorite food group.
We tried a variety, and honestly it's hard to pick my favorite. I'd eat everything again! If I really had to pick, the Detroit style with pepperoni was delish, and the eggplant was also notable. Great crusts and topping-to-bread ratios.
The menu is unexpectedly huge. These were just from the to-go slice options available on this weekend evening.
